We have designed our eco-friendly guesthouse in Ardèche as a place of positive impact, where every decision—from renovation to the plate—is guided by ecological, human, and local values.
The renovation of our 19th-century mansion in Annonay was carried out with deep respect for both its history and the environment. Done with care by local artisans, it focuses on:
Regional and sustainable materials
Enhanced and effective insulation
Rainwater harvesting for irrigation
A system to reduce energy consumption (water, electricity)
🛋️ The decoration prioritizes upcycled furniture, second-hand or recycled objects, and authentic materials. The soul of the house shines through this timeless and responsible aesthetic.
Every detail of our guesthouse contributes to an experience with minimal environmental impact:
Bedding and linens made from natural fibers
Organic, local, plastic-free toiletries
Eco-friendly, non-toxic cleaning products
Green electricity from renewable sources (French solar and wind energy)
Strict waste sorting, with optimized waste management
🧺 Linen cleaning is entrusted to ESAT ADAPEI 07, an organization that supports people with disabilities: a solidarity-based and ethical choice.
We are currently working on creating an ecological and edible garden, inspired by local biodiversity. It will include:
Endemic and resilient plants (drought and frost-resistant)
An organic self-service vegetable garden for our guests
Reasoned irrigation using harvested rainwater
Composters, to close the loop on zero waste
🌿 The garden is designed as a place of restoration... and reconnection with nature.
Our table d’hôtes reflects our commitment: cooking well, fairly, and responsibly. We emphasize:
Fresh, local, organic, and seasonal products
Short supply chains, sourcing from producers who share our values
Mainly plant-based and creative cuisine, reducing the carbon footprint of each dish
A zero waste approach: compost, bulk, reducing waste, etc.
🥕 Our sourcing is demanding, ethical, and traceable: here, each ingredient has a story.
In line with our commitment to slow and respectful tourism, we offer:
Nature-based activities, focusing on local flora, terroir, and artisanal skills
A secure bicycle garage, available for our guests
A partnership with local electric bike rentals to encourage soft mobility
Gentle itineraries starting from our guesthouse (walks, visits, markets…)
We have begun the process of obtaining certification to value our work and ensure ecological transparency. Certifications in progress:
